The Carlos Pesqueira Memorial Scholarship
The Board of Directors of Hotshots Softball of Arizona, Inc., is proud to present the Carlos Pesqueira Memorial Scholarship in honor of Carlos’ many contributions to the Arizona Hotshots and the Arizona softball community. The Carlos Pesqueira Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to qualified recipients as further described below.
A $500.00 one-time scholarship will be awarded to the recipient that will attend any two year or four year college or university and participate in women's softball and demonstrates good citizenship, community service, positive attitude, hustle and sportsmanship honoring the sport of fastpitch softball.
The Carlos Pesqueira Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually.
Who May Apply:
Hotshots Softball of Arizona, Inc., players graduating from high school in 2023;
Arizona residents who are female undergraduate students planning to attend any two year or four year college or university and participating in women's softball;
Applicants must enroll in a minimum 12 credit hours;
Not have a full athletic or academic scholarship; and
Have a minimum 2.0 GPA as demonstrated by an unofficial final high school transcript to be provided by the applicant

Application deadline is closed for 2023
Application Requirements:
A completed application;
An essay describing what softball has meant to you thus far in life and what your plans are collegiately and beyond through softball;
A letter of recommendation signed by a coach confirming your current participation on an Arizona Hotshots softball team; and
One unofficial copy of your high school transcripts confirming you maintained an overall minimum GPA of a 2.0 throughout your high school career.
